Not only did I not realize exactly how long 26.2 miles was but that I didn’t check the course and the elevation of all the hills.  Every thing was cool up until about mile 15 which for me was surprising, because I knew by was going to be half dead at about mile 10.

Then comes  mile 20 and the real pain, my left ankle started to hurt, my right achilles started to tighten up and my left groining started to cramp. At this point I just decide to finish out strong, because in my mind there is no turning back at mile 20. I had to Just Do It like Nike.  So, I knocked it out and at the finish line I wanted to pass out, but I ran to the food instead…Yeah I pigged out and rightly so after running a marathon.

Everyone kept saying how I would feel better in the morning and would appreciate it in a few days.  Well, I am here to say it still does not feel good, my leg still hurts and I NEVER what to do another MARATHON again.  The only good thing is that I did it early and got it off my list, because if I would have done it when I got older I would have died in the process, literally.  So, I guess thank you Reg for saving my life….lol.

As the show begins, the band is ROCing the stage and the lights are low.  They suddenly, the New York skyline appears on stage behind the band members and out from under the stage comes Jay-Z.  Stretching as if bottle up from the last show, the drummer strikes each drum like Travis Barker on steroids, the horns started blowing like TSU Aristocrat of Bands and the crowd  exploded like KU had just made the game winning basket in Allen Field house.  Then the beautiful sound of Alicia Keys voice rained down like angles from heaven and the concert had started with Empire State of Mind a hit single from Jay-Z’s new album The Blueprint 3.

The energy in the room was something I had only witnessed a few times in my life and it was the first time I had experienced it in the entertainment world.  It showed me that I was in the right field and this is what I want to do with my life. If I can be a part of something that beautiful and move large groups of people with positive messages in the process, I know God will be proud.  This is the reason I am in the entertainment industry, to correct the downward character and lack of moral conscience in our society.   If I can just do my part by inspire others and showing them that the entertainment world can have standards and still be as entertaining as all the old violent and raunchy with a new high class twist I will have fulfilled my duty set forth by God.  Media has the power to change.

Speaking of change, after watching the 50 min melody of number one hits and realizing that the incredible entertainer had 11 number 1 albums, a feat that not many entertainers have accomplished, I realized I was among greatness.  In addition to the great performance my love for production truly reaffirmed that you can have very tasteful and moral world class acts.

Now the bad, I can only go the 6…no 5(RIP MJ) acts now:  Beoynce, Kanye, Prince, .P Diddy and the old school bands.  I want all the money that I every spent on a concert in the past back.  All other performances will just not be the same.  SO, THANKS JAY-Z FOR MAKING EVERYONE ELSE WHO PRFORMS LOOK LIKE CRAP AND NOW I CAN ONLY DO THINGS WITH PEOPLE LIKE YOURSELF….LOL sucks to be in Nashville now.  I will see you in the ‘A’ Jay for you next show!!!
